Miss Mollie Cherry and Miss Bell Hall hosted the Athens Tenn Choral Glee club gatherings at their homes in South Washington and near the post office area. Members praised the hospitality and expressed appreciation for the welcome.

The writer cites details from the Burlington Hawk-Eye and asks questions about possible scars glasses hair and other traits. Evening services at Second United Presbyterian were led by Rev J J Cook with a sermon on Ye are the Light of the World and choral singing by the Choral Glee Club.
Fire damaged the home of Dr. J. Brown in Columbus Junction on Saturday morning with losses covered by insurance. Prompt action by the fire department prevented greater damage to the building and nearby structures.
