Sergeant A. H. Watson stopped a bandit from Niles Ohio, Pete Ross, after recognizing him from an Omaha police broadcast. Ross, 25, robbed a filling station attendant of 385 dollars, flashed a pistol misstage, and was found with the money. He waived extradition and was taken to Omaha for trial.

Death Claims W. R. Brown and Burial in Illinois
Wilson R. Brown aged 74 died yesterday afternoon at his home in Marshall County. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sherman's funeral home in Little York area with Rev. J. B. Pollock in charge. Burial will follow in Cedar Creek cemetery near Little York. Brown was born September 6, 1860, in Cedar Creek and later lived in Summerfield Kansas and Washington. He is survived by wife Mrs. Brown, daughter Bessie Moyle of Maquoketa, and granddaughters Margaret and Ruth Moyle. He moved to Washington in 1927 and worked as a Watkins salesman for 12 years.
