Veteran of War Ends Life At Ainsworth Farm
Ted Stone a 40 year old world war veteran living near Ainsworth killed himself early today with an army rifle at the Stone farm two miles north of town. He had been in ill health since his service in France and was reportedly gassed. Stone was born January 21, 1891 in Oregon Township. Surviving are his mother, a brother Victor Stone, and four sisters. Funeral services were announced for this afternoon at the Ainsworth cemetery. He enlisted April 29, 1918 and served overseas starting July, taking part in the St Mihiel and Meuse Argonne drives.

Three Men Get $1,000 in Robbery
Three unmasked bandits robbed the Towa Loan company in Burlington Iowa of about $1,000 this afternoon. Oscar Disthehorst alone in the office described the bandits as young. George Martin, an employee, returned as the bandits sorted cash and checks and left behind some checks. Police began broadcasting the suspects' description.

Man Loses Arm In Sorghum Mill Accident
Donald Watson of West er, brother of Glenn Watson of Washington, lost his left arm just below the elbow in a noon accident yesterday. While working with a sorghum mill, his jacket cuff caught and pulled his arm into the machinery. He was employed by his father in law at Conesvill and transported to the Spit University at Town City for treatment.
