Fagen Murder Trial Rescheduled for Oct 18
OSKALOOSA The thrice postponed murder trial of David Alan Fagen is reset to begin October 18 in Mahaska County District Court. Judge Charles Pettit set the date exactly one year from when the case was first scheduled. Fagen, 20, of Keota, is charged with the June 11, 1976 shooting death of Keota Night Marshall Douglas Bell. The body was found near his patrol car along highway 77 about 22 miles south of Keota. The trial, moved from Keokuk County on a venue change, has been postponed three times on motions by attorneys. Fagen remains free on $150,000 bond.
