Max Mayer Dies. Washington businessman remembered
Funeral services were held for Max Mayer at Dungy Funeral Home in Des Moines with burial in Iowa City. Mayer, once a clothing business partner of Sol Rich on the east side, died after an operation following eight years of invalidity from a paralytic stroke. He is survived by his second wife and two daughters. Mrs Mayer is active in federated women’s clubs and leads the Jewish Community center.
