Three Die After Gasoline Tank Blast At Gurney Co
A major gasoline explosion and fire at Gurney Co tanks in Sioux City killed three men Frank Butler 64 Theodore R Gurney 37 and Harry Van Houdnos 4th. The blaze destroyed 89000 gallons of gasoline while three others remained in serious condition in hospitals. Don Dixon Omaha initiated unloading 5500 gallons when the initial blast occurred four hours before the fatal fire.

Civil rights charges filed against Katz drugstore staff

Waterloo scene reports Karla Conway, daughter of Mr and Mrs Kenneth Conway, died Thursday after falling from a moving car as it travelled through Denver Louisiana. The car carried her mother and grandmother and was driven by Jack Kahler of Waterloo. A door flew open causing the fatal fall.
