Boy 13 Sparks Train Hazard Near South Haven
Reynold Ischer of Chicago admitted to opening a switch half a mile from the South Haven station on a Michigan Central train from Kalmazco. The 25 mph passenger train derailed onto a wide track but no damage occurred after a prior boxcar train was moved. Ischer, arrested, confessed saying he became inspired by western train hold up stories.
