J K Duncan of Cotter, 82, died Sunday in Washington county hospital after a year of declining health. Funeral services are set for 2 PM Wednesday at Cotter Presbyterian church with burial in Columbus City cemetery. Richie funeral home in charge. He was a lifelong Cotter resident, born December 31 1864, and formerly ran a general store. He was a member of local lodges and church groups, survived by a brother and a sister.

Collision injures several on Highway 92 near West Chester
Automobiles driven by Paul Griffith of near West Chester and Russell Hoffar of Chicago collided Saturday evening on Highway 92 a half mile south of West Chester. Hoffar suffered a skinned knee while passenger Glenn Jenkins from Provo Utah endured a sprained ankle and a leg gash. Mrs Paul Griffith and the Griffith children Gene Allen two and Nancy five sustained bruises and lacerations. The Griffith car, reported stolen and recovered weeks earlier, was involved.
