Weekend Crash Kills Illinois Man in Iowa
A two vehicle crash on U S 6 two miles east of Wilton Junction, Iowa, killed 48 year old Roland Bennett of East Molene Illinois. Nicholas Shinkevich 49 of Kewanee Ill was hospitalized in fair condition and passenger Dorothy Shinkevich 49 was in critical condition. Shinkevich was attempting to pass a truck when the collision occurred, raising Iowa's road toll to 386 for the period.
