Mother and Sons Suffocate in Iowa Silo
Humboldt Iowa September 10 Mrs Estel Andrews and her two sons Roger 10 and Donald 14 were found dead in a silo on their farm. Authorities believe the younger boy fell in first and the elder died while searching for him. Mrs Andrews is thought to have entered the silo in a search effort and also suffocated.

Explosion Death Toll Rises On Island Queen
Pittsburgh dispatch reports the Island Queen explosion raised the death toll to 20 with nine bodies recovered and eleven missing. Coast guard inquiry opened as crews searched the wrecked steamer moored in the city. Two identified victims were Henry Williams of Cincinnati and Melvin Veiles of Allardt Tennessee.
