Tornadoes hit Sulphur Springs Waco Hillsboro and Gainesville as a band of storms dumps heavy rain across the region. Escapees Recaptured After Ottumwa Jail Break
DES MOINES UP I report two Ottumwa teens who fled Wapello County Jail on Monday were found Wednesday. Robert Williams 16 of Ottumwa hid in a home attic. Steven Handling 17 of rural Ottumwa was found in a pickup. Williams faced first degree murder charges in a January strangulation of an elderly Ottumwa woman. Handling faced possession of stolen property charges. Handling was sent back to Ottumwa and Williams was returned today.
