Farm worker badly injured in quarry tractor accident
Leigh Foster of Brighton aged 44 was seriously hurt while oiling a tractor in the Grace Hill county quarry. His left leg was crushed near the knee, and he was rushed to the county hospital and then to Iowa City for possible amputation. The belt and belt-driven parts likely caused the accident as the engine and tractor were damaged. Foster is a former Democratic candidate for the legislature.

Robert H. Paul 79 died Sunday at 11 35 AM at his home northwest of Ainsworth after a month long illness. Funeral services are set for 2 30 PM Tuesday at the United Presbyterian church in Ainsworth with burial in Ainsworth cemetery. He was born April 4 1854 in Allegheny County Pennsylvania and lived in Oregon Township Washington County before moving to the Ainsworth area. He married Lillie Huffman Feb 28 1910 and leaves a widow, a half brother George Paul a half sister Mrs Eva Anderson Sterling Kan and several stepchildren in Colorado and Kansas. He was a longtime member and elder of the United Presbyterian Church.
