Three boys found alive after Lake Erie windstorm
John P. Songer 11 Terrance Sweeney 12 and Gregory Lambrix 12 from Hamburg were missing Friday night when hurricane winds swept the Lake Erie shoreline. They were located near a fellow boy’s home, exhausted but alive, after authorities feared they had been drowned in 96 mph gusts reported by Buffalo Harbor Coast Guard. New Employment Center Opens in Washington County

In Atlantic Iowa one man was hospitalized in Cass County Memorial Hospital with a pistol head wound after a Friday night shooting near the Atlantic Airport. Dale Wright 23 Atlantic was jailed on a 1000 bond on an assault with intent to commit a felony charge following an Atlantic argument. Dennis Eden 19 Massena was listed in fairly good condition.
