Centerville Union Vote Fails To Elect Bargaining Agent
Centerville Iowa Southern Utilities Co unit voters fail to choose a bargaining agent for the second straight week. Of 243 eligible workers at the home plant 49 backed the CIO 93 the AFL and 77 the independent union. Runoff possible between the AFL and independent union if no appeal within five days. All 190 company units set elections before November 17.

Plane hits truck after flying too low over highway
