York, Oct. 28. Wilbur R. Kimball, aeronautic expert, has begun a 125 foot working model as prep for a full sized dirigible balloon. Materials assembly will take at least three years. The gas bag will exceed 1,000 feet in length and 100 feet in diameter. Estimated cost about 50 thousand dollars. It is expected to carry 100 passengers or equivalent freight.
John C. Fleener of New London, Iowa, came to Burlington to meet his wife returning from Oklahoma. He left a 3:30 a.m. call at a hotel. bell boys found him dead from gas that had accidentally been turned on. His wife arrived at the depot, waited all morning, and learned of his death only after reaching their home.
Antonio Musica and his son Philip were cleared of charges that they fraudulently secured underweights on cheese imports. Philip Musica pleaded guilty to one count and awaits sentencing at the Tombs.
