Charles Wallerich, 18, McCausa land, was sentenced to 10 years in the Anamosa reformatory after pleading guilty to breaking and entering the Don Paul D N service station last spring. Joseph M. Soukup, 70, died at 4 30 am today at his home 215 East Seventh street after several weeks of illness. Funeral services set for 2 15 pm Sunday October 26 at Jones funeral home and 2 30 pm at Riverside Methodist church with Rev. Raymond Reed and Rev. L F Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside cemetery. A retired farmer, he lived in the Ainsworth area before 28 years in Riverside and since 1949 in Washington. Born May 7 1882 in English River township, he was married February 17 1903 to Mary Chihak and survived by his wife, one son Lewis of Muscatine, and two brothers Frank of Muscatine and Charles of Washington.
