Former Junction Resident Is Dead

Francis Howard Johnston, 93, formerly of Junction, died Wednesday in Santa Monica, California. Services set for 2 p.m. at United Brethren in Columbus City Cemetery. He was married to Lilie Jane Johnston. Crawfordsville Youth Injured in Car Accident

A Craw fordsville freshman girl Shirky Painter daughter of Mr and Mrs C B Painter was injured in an automobile crash east of Craw fordsville. She suffered a severe skull fracture and compound fracture. Driver Eugene Norton of Trenton sustained knee and shoulder injuries but was not hospitalized. The accident damaged a telephone pole and occurred near the Ted Griffith corner as the car veered into a bank.
