Mrs. Mary Eva Hook 76 died Monday evening at her home one mile south of East Pleasant Plain after a six week illness. She was born January 9 1874 south of Brighton and lived on a farm near East Pleasant Plain for 69 years. Services set at Friends church Pleasant Plain with Rev Calvin Hull leading burial in Friends cemetery. Surviving daughters Bertha Davisson Fairfield Ila Whisler Muscatine Myrtle Hook at home. three grandchildren nine great grandchildren. one son preceded her in death. She was the last of her family.
