Funeral of Mrs. Jennie Cress Scheduled Thursday
Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Cress are set for tomorrow with a brief 10 30 a m service at L A Jones funeral home followed by a Muscatine chapel service at Wood Cemetery at two o clock conducted by Mr W W Bowers. She died yesterday afternoon at 3 20 at the home of her daughter Mrs Clara Doane 108 West Jefferson street. She had been ill for thirteen months after influenza and was born May 1 1858 in Butler County Ohio. She married John Knott in 1875 and later William T Cross in 1919. Survivors include children Harry H Knott Clara Doane Robert and Warren E Knott. two sons and two brothers also survive. She was active in the Muscatine and Ottumwa Methodist churches. The local club meets with Rotary next Monday.
