Six Die In Chicago Hotel Blaze at Eagle Hotel
A deadly blaze swept the Eagle hotel on South State street in Chicago. Six derelicts died trapped on the wooden third floor as wire screens and torn partitions failed to protect them. Six more guests were badly burned and taken to a hospital while the hotel sign survived the flames.
