Mount Pleasant serviceman killed in Vietnam action
The parents of Army Sgt. Stanley D. Ross, 20, of rural Mount Pleasant, were informed that he was killed in action during an Oct. 20 combat operation in South Vietnam. Ross, who enlisted in 1968 and was stationed in Vietnam since April, was a Mount Pleasant High School graduate of 1968.
