Sioux City man charged in 16 year old girl’s death

Harold Eugene Johnson, 36, faces murder and assault with intent to murder charges after a Sioux City shooting killed Nancy Nielsen, 16, and wounded her sister Michaelene, 19. Johnson and Roger D. Harnack, 21, were arrested. Harnack charged with arson and burglary in a related bombing. Nancy Nielsen died at St Joseph Mercy Hospital from massive internal bleeding. Michaelene underwent surgery for a bullet wound and was in good condition.

Equalization aid distributed to Cedar Johnson Linn and Washington districts

The Joint County School System received State Equalization warrants for 25 districts in Cedar, Johnson, Linn, and Washington counties.
