Missing airplane found after stormy night flight attempt
Eddie Stinson and five companions were forced down in a field near Sherborn Massachusetts after a failed flight from Hartford to Boston. The group included Mrs Stinson Baron Revene Barnekow Fred Koehler mechanic J T Whittaker and Philip Ashby. They reached Framington by automobile and the Stinson Detroiter remained undamaged despite adverse rain and winds delaying commercial flights. Stinson had arrived at Winnardfield Hartford earlier for an 18000 mile round the world flight promoting airport development.
