Mrs Jane Conger wife of Clark Conger died yesterday morning at her East Washington Street home after a weeklong illness. She was born in Ohio and married in the early 1840s. Four daughters survived, with funeral arrangements pending word from Mrs T W Stanton.

Bee sting leaves James A. Schilling in distress
James A. Schilling of Hickory Grove farm was stung below the eye by a bee in the city as he left for home by the Centennial school house. He grew very ill from the poison and a physician treated him. he remained unconscious for about three hours before he could be taken home.

Funeral of Chas Weigan in Crawfordsville
The funeral was held this morning at the aunt’s residence, Mrs. Shockley. The body was taken to Crawfordsville for interment. Deceased was eighteen, died after a general breakdown. Rev. Gray of the Baptist church conducted the services. A Crawfordsville young man near marriage visited the city Saturday evening seeking his wedding trousseau.
