Pacinis Recovering From Washington Crash Injuries
Mr and Mrs Vincent Pacini injured in an automobile crash east of Washington on October 3 are reported improving at University Hospitals Iowa City. Mrs Pacini the former Edith Marie Hampton, was previously married to Floyd Mundt, brother of Mrs Glen Lord. Bill Mundt of Goddard Kansas driver of the car was released from Washington County Hospital and is staying in Iowa City near his mother. Mrs Pansey Pierce who died in the crash was a Pacini sister and owner of the car driven by her nephew. Maude Hampton, their mother, lived in Washington before moving to California and died in February.

William H. Jackson at 34 is appointed director of communications to Gov. Robert D. Ray effective Nov. 1. David Oman, 23, named administrative assistant in charge of press ions. The move follows the resignation of Richard W. Gilbert, 35, Ray's news secretary since February 1971. Jackson joined Ray's staff in 1970 and coordinates the governor's schedule. Jackson, an Atlantic native, is a Drake University graduate and former WHO TV program director.
