Australia to send more troops to Vietnam this year

House backs 2.7 billion GI pay raise plans

Moon eclipse fades over East as Saturn occultation noted

Riverside farmer Hubert Kucera dies in tractor accident
Hubert William Kucera 64 of Riverside died from traumatic asphyxia after a tractor mishap Monday morning. His body was found later by his sister Leona and a neighbor. He was a World War II veteran and longtime Riverside farmer. Funeral services are set for Wednesday at St Mary’s Catholic Church with Rosary tonight at 8 at Sorden and Adams Funeral Chapel Riverside. Burial will be in Mt Olivet Cemetery. He was born January 6, 1903 in Washington County to William and Mary Bushek Kucera and never married. He is survived by twin sister Leona, half-brother Edward Bushek, and nephew Robert Bushek of Davenport. He was a member of St Mary’s Church and the American Legion.
