Bank secrecy scandal hits Richland families hard
A. C. Charlton, cashier of the Richland Bank, disappeared with over six thousand dollars leaving a farm valued at 120 acres. His partner Allen Stalker denies knowledge of the loss as residents, including an elderly couple with 175, and many others, face ruin while creditors seek recovery through private-bank liabilities and collateral valued around 3,100.
