Wood Chopping Bee Proposed By Valley Church
Rev Carl W Klein of the Valley Church proposed a Washington wood chopping bee to harvest timber from Clarence Singmaster’s tract Southwest of the Valley. The wood would be split into stove lengths and given to needy families for fuel during the war. Last winter 40 truckloads were cut aiding about two families. If interested, men should join next week possibly Wednesday. Tomorrow a church group will prepare wood for the Valley Church’s winter heating.
