More than 500 men fought a out of control forest fire in White River National Forest as it scorched 4788 acres of spruce pine and aspen. Officials say containment hinges on rain and wind while damages exceed 21 million dollars and response costs top 600000. About 300 elk season hunters were evacuated with no injuries reported.
