Ottumwa resident Arnold Carruthers aged 43 died when the car he rode in failed to make a turn and rolled into a ditch in Eldon Iowa. The coroner said Carruthers strangled after becoming trapped beneath the vehicle. The driver David Giles aged 24 of Ottumwa faced charges of failure to keep his car under control.
