Charles Grandee, a fifteen year old boy and grandson of Mr. Wm. Reed, was struck by a westbound work train while crossing the tracks. The wagon was torn apart and he was badly injured with broken ribs. The incident suggests a lack of whistle signals at the station. recovery prognosis is doubtful.
Clerk Rogers notes the M. P. Donahey sale yesterday sold twenty horses at an average of about $70 each. Notable names include Donahey's Idol Rubellite Sylva D. Rosero D. Sioux Chief Cuyler Idler among bidders D. W. Miller W. I. Small McCullough Wm. Jester and Jake White.
Miss Dade Shearer visits Noble friends while John Brewer and A Smith from Wayne and Iowa Counties appear as Washington visitors. Attendees include Mr and Mrs E W Swisher of Brighton and Eicher with brother Ed ward at a sister’s Noble wedding. Mayor John O Flarity attends a lecture. Chas Bronson travels via Firefly to McCook Nebraska.

Quinn and Whealan attend Columbus Junction races. Ad for Hall's Catarrh Cure offers 100 dollar reward for deafness cure.
