Mistaken Trucker Killed in Michigan Stone Attack
A truck driver, Fredrick E. Beck, 40, of Carlisle, Mich., was killed when a stone was thrown from an overpass onto his double trailer on U.S. 23 near Flint. Police say he was mistaken for a steel hauler as part of a larger eight state strike by steel haulers. Michigan State Police began police escorts for trucks. Gov Romney warned of such measures. Two other truckers were fired on I-75 near Monroe with no injuries.

Tragic Philadelphia stabbing shocks racially tense street
Sarita Bryson a 20 year old bridesmaid designate was stabbed in the stomach near her home in southwest Philadelphia. She staggered to her door and died in her mother’s arms after an unprovoked attack as police described a stocky unknown assailant with a mustache. A bloodied eight inch butcher knife was found at the scene. She had been a top student and travel consultant. The wedding she was to attend proceeded without a honeymoon.

Polio survivor rescues boy from strangling in backyard
