Smith to Start His Next Joint Tour
Gov Alfred E Smith plans a second campaign swing beginning Thursday morning. He will travel from Albany to Tennessee visiting Chattanooga and Nashville to meet local Democratic leaders but will not speak in Tennessee. He will deliver his only speech of the first week in Louisville Kentucky Saturday night after leaving Tennessee. The tour may extend to Missouri Illinois and Ohio. He has not fixed return date to New York, expecting to depart Monday or Tuesday.

Thieves Burglars Target Dougherty Bros Store Nightbreak
Burglars entered Dougherty Bros clothing store last night and fled with goods valued at several hundred dollars. It is the second burglary there in under six months, with five suits two overcoats two sheepskin coats two hats two suitcases and shirts among the loot plus about five dollars. Entry was gained by a bar and exit by the rear door. A west side resident heard a car in the alley around 1 am, and night watchman William Bailey discovered the break about 1 15 am. No suspects were found.
