Four Eldora escapees captured as others remain at large
Four of the 17 youths who escaped from the Eldora Boys Training School were captured in separate incidents. Two Iowa youths, Ronald Miller and Ronald White, both 17 from Washington, were taken after a stolen car pursuit. a warning shot was fired. Clara Sleig 86 died in her sleep at the Rubio home of her daughter Mrs. A J Steinbeck. She was born June 5 1875 north of Richland to William and Lucia Bond and married Valentine Sleig in 1895.
