Lone Tree Woman Killed When Car Struck by Train Near Riverside
Mrs. Betty Ridenour Keeler of Lone Tree, 16, died after a Rock Island switch engine struck the car she and her husband, 17, were in near Riverside on Highway 22 at 7 10 p m Wednesday. The couple, treated at Mercy hospital Iowa City, were en route to avoid the crossing as the engine dragged the car 40 feet.
