Farlow Pleads Guilty to Manslaughter in Iowa Crash

Archie Farlow of Galesburg pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to up to eight years in the Anamosa men's reformatory. A $200 fine and court costs were also imposed. He had been jailed since August 29 after a highway crash near Crawfordsville killed two passengers, with fault attributed by a coroner's jury.

Lieutenant Richard C. W. Booker Dies in Plane Crash

Charlies Atkinson reports the death of Lieutenant Richard C. W. Booker in an airplane crash. He was married on Sept. 13 to Jean DuMont, granddaughter of Mr. Atkinson, and was stationed at Langley Field Virginia. No accident details have reached the Atkinson home.

County Farmer Dies In Mercy Hospital Iowa City

Lewis Jones 76 a lifelong resident of southeast Wellman area died yesterday in Mercy hospital Iowa City after an operation. Funeral services Friday at two at I A Jones funeral home with Dr F P Witala in charge and burial in Keota cemetery. He was born in Pennsylvania married Macy Pimme and survived by several children and grandchildren. Three brothers are deceased.
