Priest at Clutier Dies Of Injuries In Collision
Rev. Thom as Vopatek aged 60 of Clutier died in a Cedar Rapids hospital from injuries after an auto truck crash on a bridge 25 miles west. His housekeeper Mrs. Mary Chizek also died. Ordained in Chicago in 1946, he taught at St Procopius College before serving as pastor at Oxford Junction and Clutier since 1917.
