Judge to hear bid to close Amish schools in Iowa

Stolen Car Mystery Ends With New Battery
Two Washington girls saw a car stall outside Kay McCleery's house as the driver left the ignition lights on. Police arrived to check for a stolen vehicle but found it was not taken. The car, belonging to a McCleery Cumming Co. night shift worker, had a faulty battery and the driver walked away. By morning the car was gone with a new battery installed and peace returned on East Polk Street.
