Iowa Woman Killed In Car-Truck Collision Near Algona
Mary Capesius aged 61 from Bode died from injuries after a head and shoulder trauma in a crash between her car and a county gravel truck at a county road intersection near Algona Iowa. Cliff Blanchard of Algona the truck driver was uninjured. Capesius was transferred to a Rochester Minnesota hospital for treatment.

Mrs. Schmitt 52 Dies at Washington County Hospital
Mrs. Everette Schmitt aged 52 of rural Washington died at 11:30 am today November 2 1961 at Washington County Hospital after five years of illness. Funeral arrangements are pending with Jones Funeral Home. Surviving are her husband three sons Leland and Dean of Des Moines and Richard of Julesburg Colorado, plus brothers and sisters. One son two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
