First winter snow falls in SE Iowa
A large arctic high pressure system pushed south across Iowa bringing heavy snow to the southeast and central regions. Break stalemate in talks on Rhodesia
In Geneva the Rhodesia peace talks end a monthlong stalemate as delegates move toward shaping an interim government.
