Four Iowans were killed in weekend incidents including two fires, a hunting accident, and a head on collision. Richard Williams 33 Des Moines died in a Sunday fire found in his bed. Victor McWilliams 58 Center variety was burned to death at Heinz Co bunkhouse in Muscatine Saturday. Harold Marriott 40 Estherville fatally wounded while hunting Saturday. Floyd Tate 38 Spencer high school coach died when his car collided head on with a creamery truck near Humboldt amid snow.

Fire kills at least four in Tower hotel blaze
Firefighters searched the ruins of the Tower hotel in Minneapolis for more victims after a flash fire that started from a ground floor restaurant swept through the building yesterday. The largely elderly guests faced early danger as about 50 were rescued before the flames were fought. Six victims were treated at Minneapolis General Hospital and reported in good condition.
