Washington November 27 The Agriculture Department halted the slaughter of infected cattle in Mexico at the request of the Mexican government. Vaccination and quarantine will control the disease, but critics in the United States fear spread to American herds. About 30 million dollars has been paid to Mexican owners since May and large cattle losses continue.
