Keokuk Armory Blast Victim Sister of Washington Woman
Mrs. Louis Besser sister of Mrs. Neal Lampkin of Washington died in the Keokuk armory explosion Wednesday night. She resided in Keokuk and will be buried in Trinity Methodist Church there after a Sunday funeral. Born October 19 1922 she was daughter of Kenneth C Henke and Bessie Henke. She belonged to Trinity Methodist, the White Shrine and Swing Easy Square Dancers. Surviving are her husband, her father and step-mother, one brother and three sisters.

A 2 a.m. explosion destroyed a power pylon on the Kariba Dam line, cutting copper belt supplies in Zambia as Rhodesia's Prime Minister Ian Smith blamed sabotage.
