Blizzard Blamed for Two Crashes in Council Bluffs
Blizzard conditions contributed to two auto crashes in Council Bluffs late Tuesday. One person, Grover Hurley of Westboro Missouri, died after his car collided with a Burlington diesel engine. Eight were injured including Hurley’s wife Nellie, in fair condition. The Gearhart couple from Tarkio Missouri were among others in fair condition. A second crash on the South Omaha bridge involved a two-car collision leaving several injured. Visibility was near zero as the incidents occurred on icy tracks and roads.
