At Elmendorf Air Force Base Alaska twenty seven planes and three Coast Guard vessels resumed search today for a G 124 Globemaster missing with 52 aboard. Faint signals from a hand operated transmitter carried on all planes offered brief hope but the Air Force said the source was unlikely to be the missing plane.

Alfred J. Hillhouse of 908 South Second avenue died at 5 o'clock today at his home after a period of illness. Funeral arrangements are pending with Jones funeral home. Born February 11, 1875, he was the son of George Garren Hillhouse and lived in the Hill community. He married May Hurroughs in 1896 who died, then married Stacie Powellson on June 20, 1950. He moved from Washington to California in 1903 and returned to Washington in 1950. Survivors include his wife and daughter Letha Millhouse of San Francisco, plus three sisters in Washington and Albia.
