Swim Exhibition at Y Two Nights

A YMCA swimming exhibition and life saving drill is set for Friday and Saturday at 7 30 PM. Admission is 10 cents for children and 25 cents for adults. Mrs Henry Horning died at 1 30 pm at her home eight miles north of Washington after a stroke of paralysis suffered the previous Friday evening Funeral services were set for Saturday at two oclock at the residence with Dr W W Bowers and Rev C E Hamilton officiating Burial will be in Elm Grove cemetery She leaves a husband two children Elmer Edward Horning and Mrs Clara Belle Vincent four grandchildren and three brothers Harmon Louis and Charles Brinning all in the community She was born April 16 1867 in Dutch Creek township and was a member of St Pauls Evangelical church at Valley She was highly regarded by neighbors.

The Cannon ranch finished a year’s last cattle shipment under Joe Wright. J K Frazier & Sons reported sales of 300 yearlings at 92 lbs and 17.90 dollars, the top for the weight class. Another 45 Hereford cattle from Crawfordsville averaged 1014 pounds at 17.90, with finish lacking.

Henry Lohrer Dies Suddenly in California

Folsom Prison Riot Ends as Convicts Surrender

About 1200 prisoners in the main cell block surrendered after a 20 hour siege at Folsom California. Seven ringleaders were placed in solitary confinement and two guards died. Anthony Brown, 28 from San Francisco, led the mutiny and faces murder charges.

Word comes that the American Railway Express Company and the Rock Island railroad offer a joint reward of 100 dollars for the apprehension of J W Williams who has been cashing stolen Rock Island drafts form 451 and express money orders. Washington Demons Rout Columbus Junction In 1927 Finale
