Gasoline and Oil Cars Burn in Train Derailment Fire
A derailment of a Chicago Great Western freight train in Ira Iowa caused fifteen cars to catch fire, twelve loaded with gasoline and oil, with damage estimated at $100,000. No injuries. Dairy Prices Fall Steepest Seasonal Drop On Record
US agriculture department reports wholesale dairy prices fell from September to October in an record for that season. Butter slipped from 81.3 cents in June to 60.8 cents per pound in Chicago.
