Davis born February 22 1876 in Jackson township son of James and Sarah Ann Davis attended rural schools and Pleasant Plain academy. He married Alice E. Crone February 9 1916 in Washington and the couple lived in Washington before moving to a farm in 1927. retired in 1947. He was a Methodist. Survivors include his wife and sister Carrie Davis of Washington.
