A winter storm watch is expected in the northwest Sunday. Today will be cloudy with a few sprinkles and highs from the 40s to the low 50s. Tonight rain likely with southeast winds 20 to 30 mph. Rain will shift to snow in extreme northwest Iowa. Lows will stay in the 40s southeast and 30s elsewhere. Snow is possible in the west Sunday, rain changing to snow in the central and east with south winds 20 to 40 mph. Winds become westerly and northwesterly in the west as drifting and blowing snow makes travel hazardous. Turning colder with Sunday highs from the 30s northwest to the 50s southeast.
