Cupid Has a Busy Day as Two Washington Weddings

The journal reports two society weddings in Washington yesterday. Emma Rebecca Boyer wed Rudolph Warfel at the Boyer home near Dublin in a noon ceremony led by Rev. J. R. Logue with about fifty guests and a formal wedding dinner. Harriet Beall Counselman married Henry William Young at her mother's West Madison street home with around forty guests and a reception, after which the couple planned to move to Cresco.

Sheriff Captures Harness Thief Beard in Fairfield

Sheriff Teeter detained John Beard after a posse traced a gypsy camp westward from Brighton following a missing harness report by Wes Porter. Wagons yielded a single harness, a double breeching, a bridle, halters and six rings valued at 12 dollars. Beard faces a morning hearing at 9 before Justice Rogers.

Specialty troupe performs in Paper City then moves on

A Paper City program last evening featured Eloise Willard Claire Dishbarr and Miss Stanley formerly of David Henderson's Crystal Slipper Co. Murphy and Moore, known locally, joined the cast. The troupe travels to Fairfield. In law and chancery Ireland vs J G Myers et al ends with plaintiff paying $15 to defendants costs. Benno Kendall visits Missouri Valley then leaves for Belle Plaine

George Kendall of Missouri Valley stayed with his uncle Hugh Kendall yesterday and departed this morning for Belle Plaine. He is seen at the J. A. Crawford Steam Laundry, which promises laundry work guaranteed not to shrink and first class service.
